- 酒蔵について
- Founded by Omi merchant Heijibei I, with roots in Shichinohe from the port of Nobechi. He is now the 11th generation. The sake brewing business is said to have begun in 1777. Shichinohe has long been known for its horses. Mutsu-no-Koma is the home of the famous horse "Ikezuki," a horse that was written about in waka poems in the Heian period (794-1185) and is known to have led the battle of the Uji River in the Genpei period (1615-1644). The name "Komaizumi" was chosen for the sake because of the quality of "Takasegawa River subsoil water," which is gently melted snow from the Higashi-Hakkouda Mountains.
