Ltd. was established in 1955 through the merger of two sake breweries in Maesawa, Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, which had been in business since the Meiji Era. In terms of rice production, we have been cultivating "Kame-no-o" rice since 1993 and "Yunokou" rice, which is suitable for Iwate Prefecture sake brewing, since 2009 under contract with local farmers, and all of our Specified Name sake is made with rice grown in southern Iwate Prefecture. In addition, Maesawa in Oshu City is famous for Maesawa beef, a high quality food ingredient, and we are pursuing the creation of sake that not only uses local sake rice and water, but also matches local ingredients to create a food sake that matches the characteristics of each ingredient.
