Founded in 1804, this sake brewery in Ibaraki Shiosai is lined with white-walled storehouses. Founded by Tsuneshichi I at the end of the Edo period (1603-1868), "Aiyu" has been carrying on the tradition of sake brewing from generation to generation under the spirit of "Shikai kai minna brosatsu", which means all people in the world are like brothers if they drink sake with each other with an open heart. We are proud of the sake we brew with great care, using only the best water and rice from the rich soil of the Kitaura and Kasumigaura rivers. We are always striving to satisfy the hearts of sake lovers with the charm of locally brewed sake....
