In 1992, the brewery moved to a new location in search of better water, and has made it their motto to brew sake from rice. Kato Sake Brewery's sake is brewed under the bounty of Sado's rich nature and has been enjoyed by the people of Sado in the unique culture of Sado. It may seem obvious, but it is precisely this obviousness that we appreciate and cherish. Our goal is to produce "quality sake from Sado Island" with a modest investment in mass production and advertising, but with a dedication to producing "good sake".
