The "satoyama and satoumi of Noto" including the scenic "Shirayone Senmaida" in Wajima was recently registered as a "World Agricultural Heritage" site, the first such site in an industrialized country. The World Agricultural Heritage Site is a recognition of traditional agricultural production and farming village culture that has continued for hundreds of years. Shimizu Sake Brewery grows rice in Senmaida and uses the resulting rice to make sake. We are very happy to receive this recognition, and it will be a great encouragement for us in the future. We will continue to devote ourselves to rice and sake production, and we look forward to your continued patronage of our Junmai sake "Okunoto Wajima Senmaida".
