- The traditional brewery "Sekai Ittoku" in Kishu is brewed with the utmost care by the brewers and their excellent technical staff using the limpid subterranean water of the Kino River. Minakata Kumagusu (1867-1941), who is said to be a giant of knowledge, left great achievements in botany (especially slime mold) and folklore around the world, and also protected the Kumano forest, which is registered as a World Heritage site.
