- Located in the small seaside town of Yorishima on the Seto Inland Sea, the Nagisa brewery Kamishin Sake Brewery was founded in 1913 by the founder Chojuro Fujii. It is a relatively young sake brewery. Shozaburo II was extraordinarily passionate about sake brewing. He was also a deeply religious man, and it is said that the name of the brewery, "Kabishin," was chosen from his wish to brew sake with a pure body and mind, a word with the same sound as "Shinshin. Kabishin's basic stance is that we, too, are 99% consumers. We are also 99% consumers, and we make the following pledge: "We are not just making sake. We are makers of sake, but we are consumers in life. So we don't make anything we wouldn't want our family to put in their mouths." In other words, we make sake, but we also buy miso and soy sauce. We confirm to each other that we are consumers, and we go back to the natural starting point that those who make sake are also 99% consumers. Our goal is to 'propose a genuine and enjoyable time with sake.
