Founded in 1918. The representative brand name "Ouhouretsu" was named after Mitsumasa Ikeda, the third lord of the Okayama domain in the Edo period, who named the sake "Ouhouretsu-ko" after the auspicious cherry tree that was used as a posthumous name when he passed away. Toji, a master brewer with first-rate skills, uses rice from Okayama and subsoil water from the mineral-rich Yuhan River to produce sake with a moderate flavor and a pleasant thirst-quenching taste.
