Our company has been established in Bicchu-cho, Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture since 1823 (Bunsei 6). We have been manufacturing and selling sake and shochu since the time when Yamada Houya of the Bicchu Matsuyama Clan was active. The year of Bunsei 6 was also the year that Kaishu Katsu of the Shogunate was born. The sake brands were "Wakatake," "Fukezuru," and "Rantei Kyokusui," but now only "Rantei Kyokusui" is available. The brand name "Lanting Kyokusui" is taken from an ancient Chinese legend. The sake is slightly dry, refreshing, and easy to drink.
