Genpei's handmade special honjozo sake uses "Gohyakumangoku" sake rice, carefully grown under contract with local farmers in Echizen-Ono, as its raw material, and Oshimizu water, selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan, as its brewing water. It is characterized by its sharp and crisp taste, as is typical of special honjozo sake.
