- 酒蔵について
- Chitosekuru's history began in 1872 when Yojiemon Shibata, a native of Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture, opened the Shibata Sake Brewery on the banks of the Sosegawa River, marking the beginning of the Hokkaido sake brewing industry as a pioneer. Starting with doburoku, the company developed into sake production, and in 1897 established "Sapporo Sake Brewing Gomei Kaisha" (Sapporo Sake Brewing Company). In 1928, eight companies joined together to form "Nippon Seishu Kabushiki Kaisha," and the unified brand name was decided as "Chitosekuru. During the period of rapid postwar growth, construction of the large-scale "Tantei Brewery" was completed in 1959, and the company exported sake overseas and expanded into the Honshu region. In terms of quality, Chitose Tsuru boasts one of the best records in Japan, having won the gold medal at the National New Sake Competition for 14 consecutive years, and is well known throughout Japan as a famous Hokkaido brand of sake. Chitosekuru is characterized by the water from the Toyohira River that has been used since the company's establishment. This precious brewing water is the source of Chitosekuru's strong core flavor. The reason why we continue to brew sake in the heart of Sapporo is because of our commitment to this high-quality water vein.
