Mutsu Hachisen" and "Mutsu Otokoyama" are brewed in Minato-cho, Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture. In 1740, Shozaburo Komai, the founder of this brewery, left the country of Omi with a noble heart and started his career as a sake brewer in the Mutsu region. Today, the eighth generation of Shozaburo Komai is taking on the challenge of brewing safe and delicious sake in consideration of the environment and health, using only locally grown rice and yeast as well as famous water from the Hachinohe and Kanizawa areas.
