Onuma shuzouten
Miyagi- 代表銘柄
- Kenkonichi
- 酒蔵について
- Founded in 1712. In the middle of the Edo period (1603-1868), it was sold under the brand name "Fuji Masamune." In 1801, the first governor of Miyagi Prefecture, who visited the prefecture on an inspection tour, was so impressed by the taste of the sake that he named it "Kenkun Ichi," hoping it would become the best sake in the world. In I Ching, "kenkun" means yin and yang, or heaven and earth. To live up to its name, the brewery has been earnestly pursuing the ideal form of sake and has continued to brew without allowing compromise. The rice used is mainly Sasanishiki produced in Miyagi Prefecture, and the brewery produces sake with a flavor that goes well with meals. In the contract brewing series, they work together with reliable growers from all over Japan to create everything from rice to sake. We believe that the answer lies in the pursuit of the "research problem" of how to bring out the ideal taste, and we will continue to challenge ourselves to pursue the "ideal taste" today.
