酒蔵について
Matsuzaki Shuzo was founded in 1892 in Ten'ei Village, a small region renowned for its rice production. The company’s history began with Shichinosuke Matsuzaki, who ran a koji shop. The brand “Hiroto-gawa,” which has been in use since the company’s founding, is named after the Hiroto River—the former name of the Shaka-do River—which flows through the eastern part of Ten’ei Village, near Matsuzaki Shuzo. For generations, we have brewed sake beloved by the local community as Ten'ei Village’s local specialty. Having remained deeply rooted in the local community, Matsuzaki Sake Brewery renewed its commitment to sharing Hiroto River with a wider audience and expanded its sales nationwide starting in 2011. At the same time, we further strengthened the sake-making process that engages all five senses—a tradition passed down from our predecessors. To produce high-quality, understated sake, we uphold the motto “Technique Comes First” above all else. Never content with the status quo, we diligently hone our sake-making skills as a united team of brewers, aiming to create a premium everyday sake that brings joy to our drinkers. “Hiroto River,” Matsuzaki Sake Brewery’s flagship brand—we hope you’ll drink a whole bottle rather than just a single glass. Hirotokawa is a gentle, everyday sake that you’ll want to keep drinking. With just one sip, it soothes both body and soul. It pairs well with a wide variety of dishes and is best enjoyed at a range of temperatures. Rather than pursuing a flashy style that attracts attention, we strive to create a high-quality, understated sake that will be loved for generations. We hope Hirotokawa will be like a supporting actor—a casual, everyday sake that accompanies drinkers in every moment.
