- Homare Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. is a sake brewery in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture, founded in 1918 (Taisho 7). Utilizing the pure underground water from the Iide Mountain Range, the cold climate of Aizu, and the skills of our brewers, we have continued sincere sake brewing for many years. Guided by our corporate philosophy, "Creating products that bring peace, joy, and inspiration," we pursue sake that resonates with the drinker's heart. Our flagship brand, "Aizu Homare," embodies the brewery's history and trustworthiness, while "Karahashi" is a brand pursuing refined taste and superior quality. Furthermore, "Kitakata Terroir" expresses the unique character born from Kitakata's water, rice, climate, and terroir, rooted in the concept of GI Kitakata. In 2015, we received the Champion Sake** award at the International Wine Challenge (IWC), earning high acclaim worldwide. While preserving tradition, we continue to innovate, sharing the appeal of Aizu and Kitakata both domestically and internationally.
