- Founded in 1794, this long-established sake brewery has a tradition of over 200 years. While maintaining the traditional methods of brewing by the Aizu Toji, which are suited to the climate of Aizu, the brewery is committed to brewing sake that makes the most of the characteristics of the sake rice, mainly from the Aizu region. Although we follow traditional techniques, the basic principle is to see the face of the sake. Sake (moromi) is a living organism, so we brew sake while observing its daily changes. We have three brands: "Aizu Nakasyo," which preserves the tradition of the Aizu toji, "Yuri," which is made by a female toji, and "Eihoya," which is the name of our store, We hope to create a new market.

The sake menu changes every time we have a selection of recommended nihonshu and shochu from all over Japan. We always have numerous varieties of Aizu Nakasyo available, some of which are only available at Kusu.
This restaurant is like a hideout in Aizuwakamatsu City. The owner and his wife run the small restaurant with only a counter, and their son has joined them. In addition to oden, the restaurant's specialty since its opening, teppan-yaki has been added to the menu to boost its power. We have more than 10 kinds of sake from Fukushima prefecture waiting for you. We also serve horse sashimi, Aizu ramen noodles for the end of the meal, and in winter, the owner's handmade soba noodles. Depending on the day, the owner's freshly caught snacks are also available. In winter, fried freshly caught wakasagi (smelt) are also available.
