- Raifuku Brewery was founded in 1716 by an Omi merchant in a good water location at the foot of Mount Tsukuba. The brand name "Raifuku" has been derived from the haiku "Fukuya kuramu, smiling Kamito no Mon no Matsu" ("The Pine Tree at the Gate of the Laughing Kamito") since its establishment. We produce sake every day in the hope that it will bring good fortune to those who drink it. We are particular about the rice and yeast used to make our sake, and we aim to create sake that is both traditional and new, with the philosophy of "quality first and foremost". We use about ten kinds of rice suitable for sake brewing and natural flower yeast.
