- The brewery is located in Kawaba-mura, a small village in Gunma Prefecture with a population of 3,000. It was founded in 1907. The name "Honor Kunimitsu" comes from the founder's passionate wish that "our country will be honored and shine brightly. It is the only sake brewery in the Kanto region to have received the Honorary Award. We are constantly challenging ourselves to expand the unknown possibilities of sake in order to pass on the art of brewing and sake culture to the next generation. We specialize in brewing sake with only four ingredients: water, rice, koji, and microorganisms, and we do not add any additives that are not required to be labeled. We are convinced that the unlimited possibilities of sake can be expanded by combining the traditional techniques accumulated by our predecessors and bringing out the umami of the rice, without adding anything unnecessary.
