- Founded in 1886. Kawaba Village in Gunma Prefecture, located in the headwaters of the Tone River, is a sake brewery that produces two brands of sake, "Mizubasho" and "Tanigawadake," under the motto of "brewing clean sake that expresses the natural beauty of the local area. The company's flagship product, MIZUBASHO PURE, a sparkling sake, won the Jury Prize, the highest award in the sparkling category, at Kura Master 2024, an international sake competition judged by the top sommeliers in France.
