Only 50% of the rice grown on Sado Island can be treated with pesticides as stipulated, so that the rice will not be harmful to the Toki herons. Rice produced without reliance on pesticides and with the help of nature as much as possible is of high quality, with a highly integrated taste and aroma that can withstand the high refining process of sake brewing. And at our brewery, we insist that 90% of the rice we use is grown on Sado Island. In order to ensure a high and even level of quality, we have adopted an exclusive contract farming system and ask one farmer to produce our rice. We take the baton of the contract farmer's passion and commitment to the challenge of making delicious sake.
