- The oldest ginjo brewery in the prefecture, always challenging itself. Yoshinogawa is a sake brewery founded in 17 Tenbun, during the Warring States period. We have been brewing good Echigo sake for 470 years, maintaining the tradition since the days when Kenshin Uesugi, the Echigo Tiger, was active. However, we have not simply done the same thing. It has been 470 years of challenges. We take on challenges in order to stay the same. That is Yoshinogawa.
