Founded in 1830 in Asahi, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, a region of rice paddies and satoyama. For more than 180 years since then, we have continued to brew sake with sincerity, focusing on Niigata-grown sake, using soft water from the clear underground water vein that runs through the area where the company was founded, high-quality sake rice cultivated through repeated research with local farmers, and technological innovation based on the wisdom and basic research inherited from the Koshiji Toji clan. In addition to a full lineup of Asahi Sake Brewery's sake, the restaurant offers soba noodles made with 100% buckwheat flour from designated contract farms in the Koshiji area and a variety of dishes that incorporate many of Niigata's seasonal delicacies.

Echigo-Tsumari Wasshinzukuri Asahiyama

The interior of the restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a sake brewery. The restaurant is equipped with glass-enclosed counter seats, and large and small private rooms that can be used for a variety of occasions, from everyday use to various occasions. We offer the best sake directly from the brewery, including Asahi Shuzo's famous sake and special sake "Katsubo". The chefs prepare delicious sake snacks using local fish caught in the prefecture and fresh vegetables grown by local farmers. We offer traditional local cuisine and sake brewery cuisine using sake-related ingredients.

Sushi cut cooking Hatsushika

Located near the same Raigo-ji Station as Asahi Sake Brewery, this sushi restaurant has long been a favorite of the locals. The restaurant was awarded the Michelin plate in the "Michelin Guide Niigata 2020". The owner purchases ingredients at the market every day, and his unique twist on seasonal ingredients is used to create a variety of excellent dishes. The signature dish of the restaurant is the mackerel stick sushi, which is carefully prepared one by one by the owner, who trained in Kyoto. It is a gem where the craftsmanship of the chef shines through. In addition to sushi, you can also enjoy seasonal sake snacks such as fugu (blowfish) and suppon (soft-shelled crab), as well as sake, which is a perfect partner for sushi.
