- In 1906, the first-generation Keisuke Kiyoto founded our brewery at its current location. Since our founding, we have continued brewing sake under the motto "No Tolerance for Deception." Our brand is "Katsukoma." Using carefully selected sake rice and soft water from the Shogawa River system, Katsukoma continues to craft authentic Japanese sake with a gentle aroma, rich flavor, and smooth finish. We strive to create the perfect accompaniment to the finest ingredients abundant in Toyama. As a small, artisanal brewery with a limited team, we cannot undertake large-scale projects or diversify extensively. Precisely because of this, we focus on meticulous craftsmanship, pursuing flavors achievable only through handcrafted methods. Our brewers dedicate themselves day and night to this pursuit. We continue brewing in the original founding brewery, which was designated a National Tangible Cultural Property in 2000. The charm of a classic, time-honored sake brewery remains intact to this day.
