- Echizen Ono is a long-established brewery that has been located in Echizen Ono, a small Kyoto in the Hokuriku region since the middle of the Edo period (Horeki era). Echizen-Ono is located on the upper reaches of the Kuzuryu River, in a fan-shaped basin rich in water and greenery, surrounded on all sides by 1,000-meter mountains, and is a specialty area for Sakahomare and Gohyakumangoku, rice suitable for sake brewing, as well as for Oshozu, one of the best 100 famous waters, and its deep snow and severe cold climate make it a wonderful place that is said to be "a place God created for sake brewing.
