- Sasaichi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. is located in Otsuki City, the entrance to the Sake Highway in Yamanashi Prefecture, and was founded in 1661 as Hanadaya. It is a company with a history of more than 300 years, which later succeeded Hanadaya and was integrated in 1919 under the present name of Sasaichi Sake Brewery. The name "Sasaichi" is derived from the character for "bamboo" used in the Japanese word for sake and the character for "Ichi," which stands for the highest mountain in Japan, Mt. Since our founding, we have brewed our sake using the limpid Gozen water that springs from the brewery as our brewing water. We want to transform the many blessings of this land into delicious sake and deliver it to the local people. This has been our wish since the birth of the Sasaiichi brand.
