- Ide Brewery was originally founded in the mid-Edo period (around 1700) as a soy sauce brewery. Toward the end of the Edo period (around 1850), Yogemon Yogemon, the 16th generation of the family, began producing sake in addition to the traditional soy sauce brewing, taking advantage of the cool climate at an altitude of 850 meters and the abundant spring water from Mt. The current head of the company is the 21st generation. Fuji is famous for being a mountain without a river. Fuji is famous as a mountain without a river.
