We have been brewing sake since 1665 in Yanagi-cho on the old Hokkoku Kaido Road, close to Yukimura Sanada's "Ueda Castle. Shinshu Kamerei has been the brand name since its establishment, named after a crane that lives for a thousand years and a turtle that lives for ten thousand years, wishing for longevity with every drink. The brewer's third daughter has been involved in sake brewing since 2003, and now works with the brewery staff to make sake every day. The brewery looks to the future of Ueda City in Nagano Prefecture. Sake breweries are rooted in the town and are supported by the town. We believe that it is the mission of a sake brewery to attract people to the community and enliven it, and we participate in a variety of activities. As part of the revitalization efforts, we are involved in activities to preserve the "terraced rice fields of Inakura," located about 10 minutes by car from the brewery, and have plans for a sake rice owner system and lodging facilities on the land, hoping to increase the value of the beautiful satoyama landscape that has been preserved for generations through sake. We are working hard every day to sow the seeds so that the trunk of our contribution to the local community will grow large.
