Our water comes from the Oigawa River, which flows through Shimada City, with its source in the southern Alps and Mt. The water is pumped up from the subsoil of the Oigawa River and used for our sake. The water is soft and has a slightly rounded taste in the mouth, which makes it easy to brew soft sake. The sake has a luxurious and gentle aroma, melts softly in the mouth, and spreads a deep umami flavor that makes you forget about time and keep drinking. Founded in 1832 by Shigubei I, the sake was revived in 1975 as "Wakatake Onikoroshi," a sake handed down in ancient documents. 1980 saw the release of "Onna Nyukase," a sake made to make women cry.
