pasture used for grazing horses (esp. ponies)

Awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide Aichi, Gifu and Mie 2019 Special Edition. You can enjoy the best sushi, including carefully crafted nigiri and local abalone, served in a dignified space with only six seats at the counter. The sake service is also excellent, including the handling of the sake cups, making this a wonderful restaurant that represents Ise and Mie Prefecture.

鄙茅

This Japanese restaurant has been awarded one star in the Michelin Guide. The thatched-roof Japanese architecture in the countryside rich in nature along the Miya River evokes the original landscape of Japan. The monthly courses are beautifully decorated with seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is very close to the brewery and offers a wide selection of Hachibei liquor.

Yakitori Nikawa

A long-established yakitori restaurant in Ise. You can enjoy meals made with wonderful ingredients, such as the white liver of the Takasaka chicken, which the second generation of young chefs are particular about. The sake selection changes daily, and the retro atmosphere allows you to enjoy a drink without feeling self-conscious.

地元おすすめの宿

HOTEL VISON

All rooms have a view of the mountains in the Kii mountain range, and the sunset over the mountains is very beautiful. The hotel's main restaurant is a fine dining Basque cuisine. From the architectural design to the interior design, this is a wonderful accommodation that matches the rich nature of Okuise. It is very close to our sake brewery, so we always take our guests from far away to this place.

coquettishness

All rooms are independent villas, each designed with themes of earth, stone, plaster, wood, lacquer, Japanese paper, glass, and iron. All villas have open-air guest baths with free-flowing hot-spring water. With three restaurants on the premises, there is a wealth of culinary content.

Maggi Hotel

In the Edo period (1603-1867), visitors from all over Japan stayed at an inn called "Furuichi" in Ise when they visited Ise. The 200-year-old building was built along a steep slope in the "kakegai-zukuri" style, which is the same architectural style used at Kiyomizu Temple, and the exterior and interior remain unchanged from the time of its founding. The meals are prepared with seasonal ingredients from Ise, and the owner, who holds a Sake Diploma, will serve you sake from Mie Prefecture to accompany your meal.
