- This sake brewery has a history of more than 460 years along the Hokkoku Kaido Road at the northernmost tip of Lake Biwa, at the foot of Mt. With the concept of focusing on the "local" part of sake, the brewery has partnered with local farmers and is dedicated to making true local sake brewed with Shiga's rice, water, and environment.

The soba noodles are made from homemade buckwheat flour and have a firm, slightly sweet flavor. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of a la carte dishes and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.
The restaurant has been in business for 130 years and offers Shiga's local cuisine, focusing on fish from Lake Biwa and seasonal ingredients. You can fully enjoy the seasonal flavors of Shiga, such as duck hot pot in winter, Lake Biwa wild eel and Biwa trout in summer, and funazushi (fermented crucian carp sushi) made in wooden buckets that have been handed down from generation to generation.
