酒蔵について
Our company began brewing sake in 1892 (Meiji 25) at our current location in Kōka City, Shiga Prefecture, in the heart of the former Tōkaidō roadside post town of Minakuchi. Founded by Eizaburō Takeshima, it was known as the Takeshima Honke. Our core brand, "Shōshiki," was named by the second-generation founder, Senjirō Takeshima. It is said to represent the wish that "Sake serves as sustenance for living life joyfully and as a lubricant that binds people together. It is said to express the wish that, through the seasons, sake may bring laughter to daily life." It also embodies the determination to brew exquisite sake that brings an involuntary smile to the lips upon tasting. The taste of Shōshiki is the ultimate luxury, achieved through a pure rice brewing process, a natural method free of additives and adjustments, and techniques that minimize flavor loss. This formulation draws out 100% of the inherent charm of rice sake. It is never merely novel for novelty's sake; instead, it is subtly simple, with a striking, vivid character. Furthermore, Shōshiki does not focus primarily on aroma; its sake quality is designed around a central axis of "clean sweetness."
