- We have been making sake in Tanba Sasayama for more than 100 years. Surrounded by Kyoto to the east, Harima to the west, Settsu to the south, and Tango to the north, we have continued to make sake that is loved by the local people. Kariyaichi Sake Brewery offers hand-crafted sake for each season of spring, summer, fall, and winter. Our brewery began when the founder, who once traveled around Kyushu as a Tamba Toji, built his own sake brewery in the current location in search of reliable water. Our sake "Shugetsu", which has been developed with the local people while always challenging ourselves, has an almost forgotten "aroma" and "taste", and is an unpretentious sake rooted in our daily lives. We will continue to make sake that accompanies the precious time of taking a breather at the end of a busy day.
