- In 1712, the company began brewing sake in this area. In 1910, the brewery merged with other breweries in the town, and the name of the brewery was changed to "Kiage Masamune," a registered trademark, from the name of the area around Okuizumo at that time, "Hinokami Sangun. The brewery will celebrate its 300th anniversary in 2012. Known as the birthplace of awamashi yeast, Kosha is a sake brewery that has had a brewery since 1712 (Shoutoku 2) in Okuizumo Town (formerly Yokota Town), the home of mythology and tatara, at the southern entrance to Shimane Prefecture.
