- The Nishiki River flows through the eastern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture and empties into the Seto Inland Sea. The history of Yakushin Brewery, which began in 1877, has always been accompanied by the flow of this river. There used to be a landing place in front of the brewery located by the river, and rice brought in from upstream was unloaded from a step-like pier called "ganki". Various kinds of "life" live at the water's edge around the gangi. The water's edge is the place where life springs forth. Under the slogan "Life is born at the water's edge," we continue to create "life" by putting our heart into each and every sake. If the ganki is a terminal on the water, our goal is to be a "terminal of deliciousness.
