- The company was one of the first to export its sake, and has won numerous awards in Japan and abroad, including the highest gold medal for junmai sake in the SAKE category at the International Wine Challenge, the Top 6 Platinum Award at KuraMaster 2024, and the gold medal at the Wineglass Delicious Sake Awards 2025. --------------------------------------------------- Honke Matsuura Sake Brewery was founded in 1804. It is the oldest sake brewery in Tokushima Prefecture, having been brewing sake for over 200 years along the Natsuyo Highway, which is mentioned in Ryotaro Shiba's book "Kaido yuku. The name "Naruto Tai" was given in the hope that the sake would be as elegant and delicious as the Naruto sea bream that swims in the fierce currents of the Naruto Straits, and the brewery produces sake that is rich in flavor. Under the motto of "learning from the past," we are constantly striving to improve our brewing techniques and develop new products by actively incorporating new technologies and ideas in order to open up new horizons for sake based on the traditions cultivated by our predecessors. Under the title of "2022 renovation," the brewery has newly built a koji room and renewed its facilities from rice washing to pressing, and is earnestly engaged in daily sake brewing in order to produce even higher quality sake.

We recommend the omakase lunch and sushi lunch. At night, you can enjoy a lively discussion about fish and sake with the chef at the counter. Of course, Naruto sea bream is also available.
Only 3 minutes drive from the Honke Matsuura Sake Brewery. It is a restaurant with only counter seats around a teppan. Carefully selected ingredients are grilled right in front of you. Everything is handmade, from the accompanying vegetables and sauces to the savory dishes and desserts. Please fully enjoy our teppanyaki grilled right in front of your eyes. Of course, you can also enjoy Naruto sea bream.
This udon shop carries on the taste of "Ikegami Seimenjo," the store of Rumiko Ikegami, aka "Rumi-Grandma," an idol of the Sanuki udon world. It is a self-service restaurant, and you order the udon of your choice at the counter at the entrance, and then choose from a selection of freshly fried tempura and daily special omusubi lined up next to the udon. After paying the bill, enjoy the most delicious udon at a table inside the restaurant, in a seated style, or on the outdoor terrace!
