- A tangible cultural property with classical music playing. Only one sake brewery left in Kitsuki City, the home of the World Agricultural Heritage Site. Since its establishment (1874), the brewery has been producing sake named "Chiebijin" after the first proprietress "Chie" in order to make it more delicious and well-loved. Sake is the essence of Japanese culture. The three most important elements in sake brewing are water, rice, and the spirit of the brewer. We are committed to brewing sake for local consumption by using high quality natural water pumped up from 200 meters below the brewery's surface, and by using mainly locally produced ingredients. The brand "Chiebijin" was established by the sixth generation of the "Chiebijin" family, who have been brewing sake since the brewery was founded.
