By aging Kishu Nanko plums for 10 years, the flavor has been mellowed and deepened. The aroma is transferred by storing it for several years in barrels that once contained bourbon, whiskey, or wine. The aroma is transferred to the plums in the barrels where bourbon, whiskey and wine used to be stored for several years, giving them a noble taste.
