- The meaning behind hanafu comes from the Japanese name for hops, Western Karakaso. The doburoku made from this Karahanakusa is called Hanamoto, a traditional method of making doburoku in Akita. Kaze represents the strong winds of Oga, which is the concept behind the Craft series. It is meant to bring a new wind to the industry through the Craft Sake Hanakaze. We hope that this sake will be the start of calling craft saké sake and muddy sake kosazake.
